"One star for the coffee and one star for the service. Although, the coffee could have been hotter.I had a potato pie and sausage roll. I have had many, MANY, potato pies over the years because I love them. Never one like this. I am not sure what the story with the potato was but my best guess was that it was old. It was certainly dessicated and didn't taste much like potato. The meat filling was also a bit bland. The sausage roll was OK, a bit small but much better than the pie.My wife had a vegetarian quiche and a spinach and ricotta pastie.Firstly, they both came to the table cold. Not warm, but cold. The waitress apologised and took them away, replacing the quiche and warming the pastie. No trouble at all. Except that when they came back they were barely warm. Not hot at all.As well as that the spinach and ricotta pastie had more spinach (and corn) and barely any ricotta. It also tasted like the cheese was on the turn. Otherwise the flavour was bland and it was dry.They had a good selection of cakes and pastries that were popular and look to be their forte.Overall, we found the food sub optimal and expensive for what we had. They may be good for cakes and coffee but I would give it a miss and try one of the other cafes down the road."
"The service was so good. 4 of us were sharing as we had a big lunch and they happily provided us extra cups and plates, with a big smile. The apple pies were served with real cream and they were amazing. It's worth a visit. Close to the station."
