"Started well....friendly staff offered to "advise" on the menu as my friend had never tried Lebanese food before. Mixed cold mixed mezze was suggested, along with some chicken cubes and rice, and tap water to drink at our request. Great range of offerings. It was my friend's birthday and we were enjoying a quiet celebration after a difficult year (bereavements etc). The staff brought over cake and milk pudding as a surprise and sang Happy Birthday, which we thought was lovely. We were then offered mint tea, which, in every other similar restaurant is generally given free. It was so lovely I was quite happy to pay. However, my friend went to pay, and was told verbally £49 for the bill. This seemed a lot-but hey, it was a special day. When we got home, I asked to see the bill. There wasnt one-no itemised bill at all, just a card receipt for £94!!!!! Whaaaat???? That has just spoiled what should have been a happy occasion- being blatanly ripped off does NOT feel good. Yet my friend is blaiming herself."
