"It was my first time trying Korean fried chicken and I’m glad it was at a true hole in the wall. Highly recommend the ‘Director’s Cut Edition’ which is a combo of all the different chicken flavors and is enough to fill up 3 people. Unlike traditional American fried chicken, the Korean variant has much more flavor due to the seasoning and drenching of sauce. The fresh fruit toppings were an interesting touch and balanced well with chicken. Personally, the spice level of the chili chicken wasn’t bad (4/10). There’s limited tables inside (5?) but the wait wasn’t too bad. Also the fact that this place is run by THE director himself is impressive."
"I am not Korean, nor have I been to Korea. However, Gol's chicken is delicious. Definitely the creation of a creative individual! If you order anything with a sauce on it, expect a fruit salad on top of your order which, while strange (to me), works very well as the fruit adds a touch of fresh and sweet to the savoury and spicy sauces. Chicken pieces were cut large (think chicken tender), fried perfectly, and the portion size was huge! Director's choice fed three of us with leftovers. Would definitely have again!"
