"Visited this past weekend and was very disappointed. Owner Sara did my nails and a gentleman did my pedicure. My sister, brother and daughter also got manicure and or pedicures. None of us received very good service and the end results were awful. My daughters nails were crooked and when she brought it up she was told it was her fingers. My nails had acrylic on them and she used dip as a fill which made them extremely thick and rough. The dip/ fill is onto my cuticles and my nail beds hurt. Our toes were supposed to have sparkles and when we brought that up they said they do.. they really don’t. My mom had freezing water for her pedicure, so did my brother. My sister got a gentleman who did a decent job which was nice! We certainly will not be back. You’re better off trying somewhere else. Super bummed because for myself and daughter I spent just under $200. We get our nails done all the time in our home state so we know what to expect. Can’t wait to get home to get them fixed."
"Nail tech was extremely rude, she was really rough when doing my nails and she kept digging her nails in me, in one of those I jerked and she cut me with the buffing machine, after that I was like okay she will be more gentle now. But that wasn’t the case, I told her again you keep digging your nails in me, and she got all defensive and said “I don’t know what you want me to do, I already cut them!” At that point I told her she was extremely rude and that I did not want her to continue doing my nails, she then got up and started screaming at me, at this point the entire salon was staring at us, I told her I would not continue arguing with her because she still stood there screaming at me some more, I told her I was done and said you should not argue with customers, which she replied to and said I was the rude one. Worse experience I’ve ever had, I will not be going back there again. I just cannot believe that’s the way they do business."
"I wanted to post a positive review about Anthem Nails and Spa and was shocked to see so many poor reviews. Well if you're contemplating using this salon I will share my experiences (3 visits & one more next week). The salon is clean, nicely decorated, a lot of staff, safe and they use quality materials. I think they have around 12 stations and 12 pedicure seats.
My first visit was in January of this year because my friend gave me a $50 gift card for Christmas. I made an appointment and was taken care of right away by manicurist Ken. I couldn't be happier with his work. He is friendly, positive, professional, speaks good English and does meticulous manicures, gels and pedicures. He is also an interesting conversationalist and knows his history. I look forward to each visit and wonder what the topic will be. Another bonus is that his wife work there too. They're two peas in a pod - the same in so many ways - talented nail techs. She did my nails once when I called at the last minute and Ken was booked up. I was equally impressed the gel she did for me and I asked her to select a good color for me and I loved it. I get a lot of compliments when the "husband and wife" team do my mani / pedi!
Thanks for reading my review and I hope it helps as you look for a good nail tech. I am so happy to find a nail that I can stick with like I did back in Michigan."
