"When we travel to the northeast for club lacrosse with our son, we like to find local diners, simply because we do not have them in Ohio. The GTR has nice food, a huge selection of items, and friendly staff. Not your usual diner decor, accents in dark wood and padded seats with booths. Dessert selection was enormous. As with most Long Island restaurants and shops, plan your trip in and out around local traffic."

"My friends and I are students at Long Island University, and our dining hall was closed. It was about midnight, so we looked for restaurants in the area that were still open. We found this place, and decided to give it a try- and we're so glad we did! Even though we came in late, everyone was courteous and polite. The food was the best diner food I've ever had, and my friends agree. They even offer a 10% discount for college students in the area! Will definitely be coming more often :)"
