"We visited last Wednesday 5/18 at about 10am, the food was good and the woman who helped us was nice, but we were overcharged $10 by a male who brought us our check, presumably because we were tourists it seemed? I thought it was an honest accident so I didn’t bring it up as I was ready to leave and instead corrected the total on the receipt to the correct total with tip which should have been $33, but I was instead charged $43 which is illegal as I did not authorize that charge. I don’t have the time to call and try to have it corrected so figured I would just post a warning to others. (We ordered 2 eggs ($4.95), sourdough toast ($3.99), corn beef hash ($12.55), and a soda ($2.90) so total should have been $24.39 plus tax it was $26 and change, I tipped $6+ so it should have been $33 exactly.) If the business contacts me and refunds the $10 I’ll update my review but as of now it seems I was scammed."
"Great little family owned restaurant. We went there for breakfast and the food was great and there was plenty of food. The only negative thing would be the kids menu...$10 and it doesn't come with a drink. That wasn't a huge deal we just order a meal off the regular breakfast menu and split it amongst our two kids. That was plenty of food for both of them. I will definitely be making this my regular breakfast place when we visit Big Bear. Great job Lumberjack cafe!"
