"The food was good but... The lady taking orders had a remarkable insufficient understanding of English. All the customers had to enunciate their orders many times. Leaving one with little confidence that your order would come correct. We were missing cheese from cheesy chips, batter from a battered sausage and a chicken burger in lieu of a beefburger. Probably best to frequent Bowness's other chippy."
"The fish was nice, but when you order a LARGE fish and chips, as a sharer you would expect something reasonable, especially for £8.15. However when I opened the box, we got the equivalent of a small fish and chips!!!!. You will see from the images I used a teabag for size comparison, and you will see LARGE in the lakes is clearly not as large as you think, and I don't use monster teabags. The picture with 2 meals shows a regular (left) and a large (right), and I cannot see what it was I was paying for??? Its a shame as they taste great."
